Packing Supplies
Happy Earth Day! Evening when moving you can do your part. Flatten and save your moving supplies. Offer them to a neighbor, friend moving, or post them to a site. Trust me, someone is always in need and looking. They don't last forever, but definitely have multiple uses of good life in them. Recycle your non reusable supplies. Make someone's day and make the world a better place at the same time. #moving #movers #packing #wauconda #chicago #improvingmoving #jrsmovingservices

School on Moving Day
When moving in the same town, don't forget to coordinate your move schedule with the school's bus service. Especially, if this involves a different bus/route. You may be in your new house by the time school lets out. Also make sure your kid is aware of the change and when. Or arrange rides to try to avoid all confusion. #movers #moving #packing #wauconda #improvingmoving #jrsmovingservices

For taller plants, tape the box flaps in their upright position. This extends the height of the carton, offering more protection for the plants. I

Packing Medications
When moving or packing, remember to keep your daily essentials, such as medications, separate and accessible as needed. You can create a safe zone for these items. Kitchens, bathrooms, and cabinets work well. Just remember to mark it clearly and boldly. Your car is also a great, almost foolproof safe zone if possible. You can also create a box and mark it boldly "open first" for your non immediate items. This too would be best transported in your vehicle to ensure it doesn't

Packing books and heavier items.
On this day in 1828, Noah Webster registers The First American Dictionary for its copyright for publication. When packing books, use what is called a small carton, also referred to as a 1.5 cube or book carton. You may use smaller containers, just not bigger ones. They will become unmanageable. Make sure the box is packed firmly, as heavier boxes are used towards the bottom of the load on the truck. You may pack the books vertically, or horizontally, or both.Pack it level wit
